Master Edward Lear, Thirds, Titling Nonsense

    A Book of Nonsense
  1. First nonsense of 2011 is dedicated to the greatest of all nonsense artists, Edward Lear. This is the first poem from his famed "Book of Nonsense":
There was an Old Man with a beard,
Who said, 'It is just as I feared!
    Two Owls and a Hen,
    Four Larks and a Wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard!
  2. January 3 is like eighth place in the Olympics. It's there, it's a big deal, but no one really ever talks about it the next day.
  3. Titles for poems, I have few,
Rhyming and such that I do.
But to give them a name,
    just all the same,
    I too often eschew.
